Shawnee National Forest 3-19-19 | Southern Illinois

March 25, 2019  •  Leave a Comment

The photos below are scenes throughout the eastern and western areas of the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois from March of 2019. The locations include the Pomona Natural Bridge, Garden of the Gods, and Rim Rock near Pound Hollow. The area has deep rice Native American roots. The Pounds Hollow informational sign ignorantly describes the Native Americans being "removed", as someone edged brutal and forcefully removed to the sign.

All photos are for sale through NurPhoto Photography Agency and well as non commercial purchases through my website's contact page.
